We give all that energy somewhere to go
Kids learn by doing. In our classes, listening leads to something they get to try: watch the instructor, find your stance, practice the movement. That makes paying attention part of an activity they can enjoy, with plenty of chances to try again.
The class fits their age
A three-year-old and a ten-year-old need different kinds of instruction. Our Tiny Tigers practice simple directions and taking turns. As students move into Lil’ Ninjas and Young Warriors, we add more to remember and work toward. We build the expectations around the age group, so the challenge makes sense for your child.
The little moments are part of the lesson
Waiting for a turn, stopping when the instructor asks, and watching a partner are all chances to practice focus. They happen throughout class, right alongside the kicks and punches. Our instructors explain what to do and help students get back on track when they need a reminder.
Getting distracted doesn’t mean they can’t do this
Some days are easier than others. If your child loses their place, we can repeat a direction, demonstrate again, or help them work on one piece at a time. You can tell us what helps them, too. We want them to feel supported as they learn.
Look for the small changes
Maybe they wait a little more patiently or finish a direction with one less reminder. Those moments are worth noticing. Let us know what you’re seeing at home, and ask your instructor what they’re working on in class. We can keep encouraging those habits together.
Take the next step at your own pace.
