Kicks
Front kicks 1-5 and jump front kicks
Keep all five variations sharp. Jump front kicks add a new challenge in preparation, control, and a balanced landing.
Phase 2 · FREEDOM MARTIAL ARTS
Build on your foundations with greater precision, control, and consistency. Students learn to turn feedback into purposeful practice.
CURRENT TRAINING CYCLE
Kicks
Keep all five variations sharp. Jump front kicks add a new challenge in preparation, control, and a balanced landing.
Form
Refine the first 17 moves. Finish at the double knife-hand block after the round kick and reverse side kick sequence taught in class.
Stick combination
Work both sides with partners. Add mountain and valley while keeping the pattern deliberate and controlled.
Self-defense
Review the release, backfist, ridge hand and knee strike. Develop the instructor-taught choke portion with a partner during supervised class.
BEYOND THE BELT · THIS CYCLE’S LIFE SKILL
You have a foundation to build on. Use a purposeful pause to set your stance, process feedback, and choose how you respond when the work becomes demanding.
“Which detail deserves your attention before the next repetition?”
Celebrate a correction carried into the next class, a controlled landing, or persistence with a difficult detail.
Choose four 10-15-minute sessions each week and plan them around class. Repeat A, B, C and D to include all four curriculum sections and Beyond the Belt. Choose a comfortable pace and use focused solo practice to build memory and control.
Use only movements your instructor has assigned for home. Keep practice gentle, with clear space and the supervision they recommend. If a solo version has not been taught, count, name, or picture the steps and bring your question to class. Leave sticks, targets, partner grabs, contact, locks, chokes, jumping, and spinning for supervised class. Never use a household object in place of training equipment.
